Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bass Rotten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Crone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rotten kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Nothing Else Matters. Bass Rotten is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Crone!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rotten misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Crone throws a hook but Rotten blocks it.
We've been hearing reports that Rotten has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Crone dodges the punch combination from Rotten.
Rotten misses with a looping left.
Crone throws a right hand that Rotten ducks under and follows up with a left that Rotten also avoids with ease.
Rotten shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Crone sprawls well. Crone wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rotten gets slowly back to his feet.
Rotten goes for a double leg but Crone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Crone continues to drive forward.
Rotten swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rotten takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Rotten shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Crone manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Rotten drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Crone dives on top into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rotten is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Crone wants to control from the top but Rotten keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crone tries to stand but Rotten is controlling from the bottom.

Crone got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rotten has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Crone has managed to get both his arms back between Rotten's legs - danger averted.

Rotten is looking for a triangle but Crone pushes his legs off easily.
Rotten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crone on the ground.

Rotten is looking to cinch up a triangle. Crone throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Rotten's body to avoid the submission. Rotten has instead reached around Crone's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Rotten arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
