Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Merle Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Noob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Merle Reid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Noob!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reid leaves Noob with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Noob is looking to clinch.
Reid shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Noob pinned against the cage. Noob gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Reid takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Noob tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Noob misses with a head kick.
Noob shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Reid counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Noob has Reid pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Reid manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Noob shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Reid as he jumps to the side.
Reid wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Noob shoots in and drives through. Reid sprawls well.

Noob has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Reid uses from the top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Poor strikes thrown by Noob there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Reid bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Noob has an active guard here but Reid has managed to pass into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Reid decides to stand up.

Big Noob dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Reid swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Reid. No joy for Noob on that attempt.

Noob looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reid is fending him off so far but Noob persists. Nope, Reid circles away and we're back to standing.

Noob shoots for a double leg takedown but Reid sprawls well. He's pushed Noob's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Noob shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reid but Reid pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Noob fails to land with a series of punches.
Noob is breathing heavily.
Noob dives in for a single leg takedown but Reid sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Reid tries to close the distance and clinch up but Noob swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Noob is looking to clinch but Reid is avoiding it.
Noob fails with a takedown attempt.
Noob misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Reid looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Reid takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crunch! Reid slams his shin into Noob's torso.
Reid throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Noob.
Reid rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Noob moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Reid drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Noob wants to stand up but Reid is controlling him.
Reid slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Noob wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Reid manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reid wants to take a breather but Noob is having none of it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Reid in particular looking to stall.
Reid seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Reid wants to control but Noob is keeping him busy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Reid counters by moving into the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Noob goes for a takedown in the clinch but Reid prevents it.
Reid tries to pull guard but Noob forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Reid escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reid circles away from the clinch attempt.
Noob tries to clinch up but Reid circles away and keeps his distance.
Noob will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reid looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Noob is fending him off so far but Reid persists. Nope, Noob circles away and we're back to standing.
Noob throws a counter combo.

Noob gets tackled into the cage by Reid. Reid maintains the clinch.
Reid is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Noob is defending well for now.

Merle Reid showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Reid has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
