Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cain Dos Santos!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dos Santos eats them both and turns towards Striker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Cain Dos Santos has been cut.

Striker tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

With the fighters up against the cage, Dos Santos throws an elbow but misses.
Dos Santos is pressed up against the cage. Striker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dos Santos down to the mat. Dos Santos avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Dos Santos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Dos Santos slips a nice elbow through Striker's hands, connecting with Striker's forehead.

Dos Santos moves nicely into side control.
Dos Santos tries to score with some ground and pound. Striker controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dos Santos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Dos Santos is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Striker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Striker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Dos Santos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dos Santos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cain Dos Santos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Dos Santos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
