Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Lester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Swag Mcyoloson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swag Mcyoloson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lester gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mcyoloson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
It looks like Mcyoloson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Mcyoloson postures up in Lester's guard and throws a big left but Lester blocks it.
Mcyoloson prevents Lester from getting back to his feet.
Lester tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lester is looking to stand up but Mcyoloson isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcyoloson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lester manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mcyoloson has Lester in his guard.

Mcyoloson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Lester dodges the ground and pound from Mcyoloson.
Lester tries to buck Mcyoloson off but Mcyoloson is having none of it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

As Mcyoloson looks to move away, Lester throws a big counter combo bu Mcyoloson just gets out of the way.
Mcyoloson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lester drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mcyoloson sprawls and moves away.

Mcyoloson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mcyoloson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mcyoloson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lester tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mcyoloson is in Lester's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Poor strikes thrown by Mcyoloson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Mcyoloson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lester to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lester shrugs it off.

Mcyoloson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lester is surviving well by controlling Mcyoloson's body position as best he can.

Mcyoloson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lester manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Mcyoloson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lester keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Lester is trying to push Mcyoloson away but Mcyoloson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

A frustrated look appears on Mcyoloson's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Mcyoloson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lester because Mcyoloson loaded up on that one.

Lester is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mcyoloson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mcyoloson has escaped and now he's on top!

Well Mcyoloson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
