Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brace closes the distance but Park moves to the side

and Park decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brace's guard.
Brace preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Park missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Park accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Park sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Park tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Brace manages to circle out of the way.

Brace avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brace is looking for the big counter here.
Brace misses with an uppercut. Park saw that one coming.
Brace throws a nice looking combination but Park bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Park half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

and Park counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brace is defended easily by Park.

Ellis Park overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Park postures up in Brace's guard and throws a big left but Brace blocks it.

Brace working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Park doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Park manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Park has gone for a leg lock! Brace slips out almost immediately though and dives into Park's guard.

Park wants to improve his position but instead Brace has moved into half guard.
Brace seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Park does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Park drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brace looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brace looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brace!


Brace decides to stand up, so the ref orders Park to his feet.

Brace shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Park napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Brace is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Park is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Brace throws a right and a left that Park avoids nicely.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brace lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Park has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Park and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ellis Park is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
