The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Marshall lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bighead doesn't seem phased though.
Bighead avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bighead throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
And Marshall tries to counter it with a takedown but Bighead pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Marshall pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bighead is out of range and Marshall settles back down.

Bighead chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Marshall can pounce on him.

Marshall closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bighead to the mat! Bighead manages to get full guard.
Marshall throws an elbow that misses. Bighead uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Marshall's guard. Nice move by Bighead!

Bighead avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bighead is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bighead's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bighead tries to free his leg and advance position but Marshall is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marshall is squirming around, avoiding Bighead's attempts to control the action.
Bighead takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ole Bighead seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bighead is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marshall.
Marshall throws the left hand but Bighead avoids the punch easily.
Marshall throws a solid leg kick but Bighead takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marshall.
Marshall has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Marshall there as he acknowledges the shot.
Marshall has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Bighead throws a front kick that sends Marshall stumbling back into the cage.

Marshall connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
