Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Larizo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kubilai Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Larizo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kubilai Khan!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larizo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Khan to the mat! Khan manages to get full guard.
Larizo slips nicely into half guard.

Larizo thows a huge punch but Khan dodges it nicely.
Larizo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Larizo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Khan scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Larizo manages to mount him!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Larizo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Khan wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Larizo.
Larizo throwing strikes here but Khan is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Larizo wants to finish this one by submission but Khan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Larizo.

Larizo looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Larizo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Larizo won't let Khan get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Larizo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Khan for as long as he can get away with.
You get the feeling that Khan really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Larizo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Khan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Khan shrugs it off.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Larizo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Khan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Larizo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

What can Khan do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Larizo is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Khan knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Khan for a finish.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Larizo gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Khan ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Larizo shoots in and bounces Khan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Larizo stops Khan from standing up.

It looks like Kubilai Khan has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Larizo clinches up with Khan and pushes him back against the cage.

Well Larizo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
