Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luke Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vidar Heimdall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heimdall has chosen Battle Beast - Black Ninja as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luke Johnson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vidar Heimdall!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson scores with a kick to the body.
Heimdall throws a hook to the side of Johnson's head but Johnson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Heimdall throws a lazy right hand but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Heimdall swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Johnson.
Heimdall leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Heimdall throws a shot from downtown. Johnson moves away and avoids it.
Heimdall on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Johnson. Johnson obviously looking to wear him down.
Johnson tries to land a front kick but Heimdall steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

That was a close round but I would say that Luke Johnson will probably get the nod.

We've been hearing good reports from Johnson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Johnson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

And that's the end of the fight!
Vidar Heimdall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Heimdall has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
