Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angelo Death (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akihiko Yamato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Death bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Yamato's head backwards.
A telegraphed right hand from Death misses the target.
Yamato tries a quick counter leg kick but Death is wise to it.
Yamato dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Death. That did some damage!
Akihiko Yamato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yamato throws a lazy right hand but Death sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Death chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yamato can pounce on him.

Yamato connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Yamato in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
