Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Gurr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sprawl Brawl!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurr tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brawl swivels and escapes.
Gurr tries for a takedown but Brawl sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brawl moves into range and connects with a jab.


It looks like Joe Gurr has been cut.
Gurr shoots in for a takedown but Brawl shows good takedown defense.
And Brawl tries to counter it with a takedown but Gurr pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Gurr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brawl bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gurr fails with a takedown attempt.
Brawl fails to land with a series of punches.
Gurr fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gurr has his takedown stuffed
and Brawl counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brawl lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Brawl moves out of range of the body kick from Gurr.
Brawl changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Gurr closes the distance and pushes Brawl back into the cage.
Brawl wants to break the clinch but can't.
Brawl wants to get back to striking at distance but Gurr won't allow it.
Brawl being controlled against the cage.
Gurr stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Gurr pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Gurr drives through and clinches with Brawl against the cage.

Gurr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brawl paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


Joe Gurr's cut is getting worse.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Brawl feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gurr sprawling to the canvas! Gurr rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Brawl finish him?!


Gurr is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brawl clobbers Gurr with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Oh Gurr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brawl lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sprawl Brawl!
