Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joey Nix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Speedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nix kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Gorilla Militia by Bliss n Eso. Speedy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Enter Sandman. Pete Speedy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nix fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A telegraphed right hand from Nix misses the target.
Speedy is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Speedy slips a straight right by Nix.
Speedy changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Nix scores with a jab to the head.
Speedy misses with a straight right.
Speedy gets the takedown into side control.
Nix is looking to reverse the position.
Speedy works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
An elbow from Speedy crashes against the mat.
Speedy trying to control the action but Nix is working from the bottom.
Nix taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Speedy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Speedy in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The strikes coming from Speedy are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Nix is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Speedy asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Speedy cracks Nix with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Speedy lands a decent elbow from side control.
Nix is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Speedy landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Oh Nix is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Speedy scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Nix is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Speedy can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
