Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marc Aslund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Belle Sebastian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aslund kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Rasmus - The Fight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aslund clinches up with Sebastian and pushes him back against the cage.
Aslund makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Aslund tries to circle away but Sebastian has him pinned against the cage.
Aslund wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Aslund goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sebastian prevents it.
Sebastian misses with a short punch on the inside.
Aslund is trying to break the clinch but Sebastian is controlling him.
Aslund tries to score a body lock takedown but Sebastian shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Aslund is trying to pull guard but Sebastian turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sebastian has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Aslund wants to get back to his feet but Sebastian is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Aslund wants to control but Sebastian is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Sebastian drops an elbow to the side of Aslund's head.

Sebastian is nestled in close to Aslund, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sebastian takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Sebastian is trying to control. Aslund wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sebastian connects with a nice short shot to Aslund's temple.

Aslund is looking for a sweep. Sebastian is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Aslund looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Sebastian thows a body kick. Aslund tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Aslund is breathing heavily.

Sebastian closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Aslund did well to prevent Sebastian getting side control.

Sebastian working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sebastian wants to control but Aslund is keeping him busy.

Sebastian seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sebastian has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
