Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Kush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genghis Ron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ron has chosen Carmina Burana O Fortuna as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bubba Kush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Genghis Ron!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kush misses with a body shot.
Ron misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ron misses with a straight right.
Kush lets loose with a powerful body kick. Ron will feel that in the morning.
Ron throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kush looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Kush gets a double leg takedown into Ron's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kush postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kush stays in close to Ron's body and controls the position.
Ron avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kush looking to pass the guard.
Ron keeping moving, preventing Kush from controlling successfully.

Ron is trying to control the position but Kush postures up.

Ron fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kush darts in looking for a takedown but Ron gets double underhooks and turns Kush into the cage.

Ron misses with a hook
and Kush makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ron lands with an overhand left.


It looks like Bubba Kush has been cut.
Ron throws a right hand that Kush ducks under and follows up with a left that Kush also avoids with ease.

Kush closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ron's guard.
Kush stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ron swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kush accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kush trying to control the position from guard on top but Ron is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've been informed that Ron has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Kush is looking to pass into half guard but Ron pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Ron is in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ron loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Ron throws a strike but Kush rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kush content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Ron really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kush. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ron trying to keep a closed guard but Kush is proving a slippery customer.
Kush lands a couple of elbows.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Kush throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kush looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ron looks to land a left hand but Kush moved out of range nicely.

Ron closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A short uppercut from Ron.

Kush escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kush bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kush throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Kush working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Kush is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ron can do to turn this around?
Ron is trying to control Kush's posture but Kush avoids it.
Kush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kush is looking to take a break and control but Ron is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kush really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kush throws an elbow but Ron slips to the side and avoids it well.
Ron tries to bench press Kush off him but Kush keeps the position.
Kush tries to score with some ground and pound. Ron controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Ron tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kush swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kush avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ron might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Ron throws an elbow that misses. Kush uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ron's guard. Nice move by Kush!
