Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Ortiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rasta Bongue!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Bongue.

Bongue closes the distance and pushes Ortiz back into the cage.
Ortiz working hard to break the clinch.
Stalling in the clinch from Bongue.
Ortiz is trying to force a seperation but Bongue has the dominant position.

Bongue breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ortiz throws the kick towards the body but Bongue avoids it.
Bongue keeps the fight on the outside.

Bongue has managed to clinch.
Ortiz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bongue walks away with a smile on his face. Ortiz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bongue shoots in for a takedown but Ortiz shows good takedown defense.
Bongue moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Joe Ortiz has been cut.

Ortiz rushes Bongue and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ortiz wants to get back to striking at distance but Bongue won't allow it.

Ortiz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bongue tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ortiz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bongue avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ortiz postures up in Bongue's guard and throws a big left but Bongue blocks it.

Ortiz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ortiz wants it to stay on the feet.
Ortiz changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Bongue fails with a takedown attempt.

Bongue is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Bongue darts in and clinches Ortiz up against the cage.

Ortiz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Rasta Bongue showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Bongue is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ortiz defends well.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bongue is on top in guard.

Joe Ortiz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rasta Bongue comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bongue has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
