Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Moo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaice Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mikey Moo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kaice Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Moo.
Moo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gunn.
Gunn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Moo was well out of range. Poor timing from Gunn.
Gunn doesn't manage to clinch there - Moo circles away.
Gunn swings for the body but Moo moves out of range.
We've been told by Moo's head coaches at Madz **21 Elite coaches** that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Gunn throws a head kick that misses.
Moo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gunn sprawls and moves away.
A jab lands there for Moo.
Gunn lands with a nice body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gunn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gunn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gunn keeps the fight on the outside.
Gunn throws out a counter right but Moo avoids it with no problem.

Moo clinches with his opponent.
Moo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gunn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Gunn tries a knee to the head but Moo blocks it.
Moo is trying to drag Gunn to the mat but Gunn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Moo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gunn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikey Moo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gunn goes for a takedown in the clinch but Moo prevents it.
Gunn connects with a nasty looking knee right to Moo's face.
Gunn lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Moo dodges an elbow strike from Gunn.
Gunn has Moo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Moo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Moo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gunn blocks it with crossed arms.
Moo is working for takedown but Gunn is calmly controlling the position for now.

Moo is trying to trip Gunn. He has hold of a leg but Gunn is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Moo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moo passes into half guard.

Moo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gunn sees it coming and defends easily.
Moo uses his free foot to push down on Gunn's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gunn.
Gunn keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Moo has control of Gunn's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gunn regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Moo avoids the attempt from Gunn to control.

Moo working for a guillotine from mount but Gunn is in no mood to give up.
Moo wants to control the pace but Gunn is squirming around nicely.
Gunn tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Moo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gunn to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gunn shrugs it off.
Gunn is looking to improve his position but Moo isn't that keen on the idea.
Gunn sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Moo is looking to advance position but Gunn won't allow it.

Moo is looking for a kimura here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kaice Gunn will probably get the nod.
That's time! Moo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Gunn counters with a one-two to the body.
Gunn swings for the body but Moo moves out of range.
Mikey Moo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gunn tries a head kick but it misses.
Moo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Moo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gunn is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Moo is aware though and is defending well.

Moo wants to control from the top but Gunn keeps moving.

Gunn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moo defends well.

Moo drops back looking for a leg! Gunn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gunn manages to kick Moo off! Moo jumps back into Gunn's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Moo tries to stand but Gunn is controlling from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gunn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gunn throws a hook to the side of Moo's head but Moo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Moo misses with a takedown attempt - Gunn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gunn.
It looked like Moo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Gunn misses with a double jab.
Moo half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Gunn tries to clinch but Moo is having none of it.
Gunn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Moo.
Moo moves away from the strike by Gunn.
Moo gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Gunn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Gunn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Moo is just riding it out for now. Gunn eventually gives up the hold.

Kaice Gunn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Moo thuds his shin into the meat of Gunn's side.
Gunn throws the kick towards the body but Moo avoids it.
Gunn slaps away a takedown attempt from Moo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Moo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gunn avoids it really well and circles away.

Moo shoots in and bounces Gunn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Moo drops back looking for a leg! Gunn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gunn manages to kick Moo off! Moo jumps back into Gunn's guard.
Gunn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Gunn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Moo has gone for a leg lock! Gunn slips out almost immediately though and dives into Moo's guard.

My spies in Sydney Fight Team inform me that Gunn has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Moo wants to sweep here but Gunn controlling him for the moment.
Gunn is in close to Moo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Moo has his hands on Gunn's head, controlling the position.
Gunn trying to control but Moo is working from the bottom.
Mikey Moo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mikey Moo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kaice Gunn tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
