Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamie Vaughan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hades Destroyer!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughan looks to land a combination. Destroyer sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Vaughan lands a nice hook to Destroyer's body. Destroyer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Destroyer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Destroyer's coach down at Soco na mãe - Stand Up Striking was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Destroyer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Vaughan cracks Destroyer with a right hand to the side of the head.
Vaughan lands a slapping body shot.
Vaughan has closed the distance and engaged Destroyer in a clinch.
Vaughan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vaughan connects with a crisp jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vaughan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Destroyer.
Destroyer takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jamie Vaughan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vaughan lands a slapping body shot.
Vaughan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Destroyer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Vaughan.
Vaughan wants to work for an arm triangle but Destroyer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Destroyer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vaughan is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Vaughan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Destroyer's head.
Destroyer is looking to improve his position.
Vaughan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Destroyer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Vaughan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Vaughan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Destroyer drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Destroyer is rocked!

Destroyer walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Vaughan swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
