PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shikou Endou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Vicious (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Endou comes to the cage accompanied by Killing in the name of - Rage Against The Machine. Vicious comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Anarchy in the UK kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shikou Endou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sid Vicious!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Endou misses the shot to the body.

Vicious has managed to clinch.
Endou tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Vicious lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Endou has been working on his balance at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Vicious.
Endou jumps guard but Vicious stands there with Endou around his waist. Endou gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Vicious breaks the clinch.
Endou swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Endou shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vicious as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shikou Endou. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vicious lands with a slapping head kick.
Endou takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Endou closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vicious to the mat! Vicious manages to get full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Endou postures up in Vicious's guard and throws a big left but Vicious blocks it.
Endou is pushing down on Vicious's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vicious is fighting to maintain full guard but Endou has managed to sneak the leg through.
Vicious is trying to stand.
Endou passes to full mount!
Vicious is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Endou looking to control but Vicious is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Endou looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Endou wants to control the pace but Vicious is squirming around nicely.

Endou jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Vicious manages to avoid the submission attempt.
What's Vicious going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Vicious is working to avoid the ground and pound but Endou connects with a decent elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Endou advances to mount.
Endou lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Endou is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vicious has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Endou cracks Vicious with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Endou breaks from Vicious's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Vicious is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big strike lands for Endou! That's really hurt Vicious and he's turned his back - Endou keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Endou jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shikou Endou!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Shikou Endou waved his t-shirt featuring Kore Fight Nutrition [TG]'s logo in front of the cameras.
The defeated Sid Vicious had this to say: 'Undermine their pompous authority, reject their moral standards, make anarchy and disorder your trademarks. Cause as much chaos and disruption as possible but don't let them take you ALIVE.'.
