The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartmann tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Cannon takes one to the side of the head.
Hartmann darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Hartmann bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cannon's head backwards.
Hartmann scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hartmann lunges at Cannon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cannon's hand.
Hartmann throws a series of punches but Cannon moves out of range.
David Hartmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hartmann looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cannon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cannon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cannon jumps guard but Hartmann turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Hartmann cracks Cannon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Cannon dives in and grabs Hartmann's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hartmann pushes down on Cannon's head and hops out.

Hartmann clobbers Cannon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Cannon tries to land a front kick but Hartmann steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hartmann jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cannon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hartmann as he jumps to the side.
Despite the aggression on Hartmann's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Cannon shoots in looking for a takedown. Hartmann tries to sprawl out of it but Cannon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hartmann manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cannon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hartmann avoids it really well and circles away.
Hartmann scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Cannon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hartmann postures up in Cannon's guard and throws a big left but Cannon blocks it.
Hartmann wants to stand but Cannon is controlling his posture from full guard.

Well Hartmann has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
