The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atentokumpis throws a right and a left that Iron avoids nicely.
Atentokumpis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Iron pinned against the cage. Iron gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Atentokumpis gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Iron.
Atentokumpis goes for a double leg but Iron avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Iron continues to drive forward.
Atentokumpis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Iron swivels and escapes.
The Iron has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonas Atentokumpis.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The Iron is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Iron throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Atentokumpis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Atentokumpis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Iron counters with a huge left! Atentokumpis is in big trouble! He's backing up but Iron isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Atentokumpis from any more damage. A dominating finish by Iron!

A relieved looking The Iron thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
