The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders closes this distance looking for a takedown but Petkovic circles away.
Sanders shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Petkovic as he jumps to the side.
Petkovic shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanders sprawls well. He's pushed Petkovic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sanders stuffs the takedown attempt from Petkovic. Petkovic gets slowly back to his feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Sanders or perhaps it was just good defense by Petkovic, which made it look bad.

Petkovic drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sanders pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sanders shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Petkovic pinned against the cage. Petkovic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Petkovic has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sanders's face.
Petkovic fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Petkovic is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Sanders is forced to tap! Great finish!
