Bellic has chosen GTA 4 Theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Watson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Bellic!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bellic takes one to the chin there.


It looks like David Bellic has been cut.
Bellic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Watson.
Watson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Watson darts in trying to clinch
letting Bellic counter with a right hand.
Bellic scores with a nice strike.
Watson wants to clinch but Bellic slips to the side

and Bellic counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Watson down! Bellic is looking to finish but Watson is intelligently defending himself.


Watson is rocked!

Bellic looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Bellic won't allow Watson to sweep him here.

Bellic content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Bellic slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Watson controls Bellic momentarily but Bellic frees himself.
Bellic content to stall in guard here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Watson looking to control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bellic cracks Watson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Watson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bellic tries to bum rush Watson with a series of wild strikes but Watson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Watson tries to close the distance and clinch but Bellic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bellic works Watson's body with a nice hook.
Bellic connects with a jab.
A shot to the liver by Bellic. Beautiful body shot.
David Bellic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bellic throws a left that rocks Watson and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Bellic dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Watson regain composure!
Oh Watson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bellic in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Watson looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Bellic turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Bellic!
A very excited looking David Bellic rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
