PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Ryley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller shoots in looking for a takedown. Ryley tries to sprawl out of it but Miller keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ryley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ryley feints and then cracks Miller's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Miller down.
Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Ryley, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Ryley against the cage but Ryley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Miller ducks under a wild hook from Ryley.
Ryley tries to score with a low kick but Miller moves his leg out of the way.
Miller takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Miller appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miller clinches.
Miller is trying to pull guard but Ryley turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Bryce Ryley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mack Miller.
Ryley swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Ryley content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Ryley misses with the head strike.
Miller blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Ryley trying to control the position but instead, Miller has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ryley into the cage.
Miller blocks the elbow strike.

Miller pulls Ryley into guard.
Ryley won't allow Miller to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryley trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Miller looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ryley advances to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ryley in particular looking to stall.
Ryley continues to stall.
Miller has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ryley is working away from the top position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Miller tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ryley attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Ryley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ryley lands a left hand.
Miller avoiding damage.
Ryley blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ryley is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Ryley cracks Miller with a nice body shot.
Still in the clinch, Ryley scores with a nice short uppercut.
Miller blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ryley lands a shoulder strike.
Ryley misses with a shot to the kidneys.

A nice left hand lands by Ryley.
Ryley lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Miller is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ryley throws a punch but it's blocked by Miller.
Miller is still on wobbly legs! Can Ryley finish him?
Ryley fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ryley swings wildly with an uppercut but Miller uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ryley creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Miller! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Ryley.
