The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramires uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ramires misses with a wild body shot.
Ramires misses the shot to the body.
Young keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ramires throws a head kick but Young moves out of range.
Ramires is looking to land body kicks.
An attempted straight right counter from Young misses the target.
Jose Ramires seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Young shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ramires as he avoids it easily.
Ramires misses with a series of wild punches.

Ramires throws a right and a left that Young avoids nicely.
Young tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Ramires manages to circle out of the way.
Ramires is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Young rather than just go for the knockout.
Ramires jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Young is looking to counter with head kicks.

It looked like Young wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Young breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Young gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Young tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Ramires is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Young buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Young!! Young is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Ramires throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
