Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Barkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hansen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, AC/DC - Big Gun. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Hansen attempts a counter takedown but Barkley avoids it well and moves away.
Barkley cracks Hansen with a good jab.
Barkley throws a hook but Hansen blocks it.
Hansen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Hansen takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hansen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Barkley connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Nick Barkley has been cut.
Nick Barkley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hansen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hansen distracts Barkley with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Barkley pulls Hansen in close to prevent any damage.
Barkley wants to stand and escape but Hansen is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Barkley seems keen to control Hansen's posture.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Barkley's corner calls for a 1-2. Barkley obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
No joy there for Barkley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hansen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barkley.
Hansen appears to be looking for a big counter.
Barkley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hansen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hansen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Barkley throws out a loose jab but Hansen uses good head movement to avoid it.

Barkley scores with the left hand. Hansen knows he should have avoided that one.

Barkley fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Barkley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hansen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Barkley throws out the jab.

Hansen tries to counter with a takedown but Barkley is quick to defend against it.

Barkley scores with a nice strike.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barkley as he avoids it easily.
Barkley keeps Hansen at a distance using the push kick.
Barkley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hansen was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Hansen blocks a head kick by Barkley.
Hansen tries to counter with a takedown but Barkley is quick to defend against it.
Barkley lands the left hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barkley throws a shot to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Barkley, as that shot connected.
Barkley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hansen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Barkley - the referee stops the clock and Hansen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Barkley. Hansen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Barkley. Hansen does a little dance to reset his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters circling - Barkley throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hansen tries to counter with a takedown but Barkley is quick to defend against it.
Barkley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hansen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Barkley is still on wobbly legs! Can Hansen finish him?

Hansen is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Barkley is in big trouble! Hansen is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Barkley. Poor guy.
