Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Pinkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Herzog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinkman comes to the cage accompanied by On the Rag. Herzog has chosen Takida - Curly Sue as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Pinkman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 26 - 3, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chris Herzog!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinkman throws a jab but it's blocked by Herzog.
Herzog throws a sloppy head kick and Pinkman moves out of range easily.

Herzog shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pinkman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Herzog wants to control from the top but Pinkman keeps moving.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Herzog closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pinkman circles away.
Pinkman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Pinkman scores with a jab. Herzog acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Herzog throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pinkman sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Herzog fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pinkman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Pinkman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Herzog sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pinkman somewhat.
Herzog is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Pinkman drives through with a takedown into Herzog's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Pinkman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Herzog manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pinkman has Herzog in his guard.

Pinkman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Herzog gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Herzog drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pinkman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Herzog has Pinkman in his guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Herzog wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jesse Pinkman will probably get the nod.

Herzog tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Herzog lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Pinkman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A little jabbing left from Herzog on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Herzog connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pinkman momentarily.

Herzog drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A close second round but Chris Herzog will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Pinkman shoots in for a double leg but Herzog sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And Herzog tries to counter it with a takedown but Pinkman pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Pinkman walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Pinkman dives in for a single leg takedown but Herzog sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Herzog connects with a leg kick. Pinkman looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Herzog buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Herzog lets loose with a powerful body kick. Pinkman will feel that in the morning.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pinkman's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Herzog connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pinkman scrambles back to his feet.

Pinkman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Herzog sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pinkman somewhat.
Herzog does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Pinkman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Pinkman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Herzog circles away quickly and effectively.
Herzog jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Pinkman swings for the body but Herzog moves out of range.

and Pinkman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Pinkman wants to control but Herzog postures up.
Herzog tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pinkman's legs.

Pinkman tries to hold on but Herzog pushes him away.
Herzog is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Pinkman can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Pinkman tries to lock up and control but Herzog gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Herzog working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Pinkman slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.

Chris Herzog comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Herzog has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Chris Herzog seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Jesse Pinkman was interviewed post fight and said 'Sorry everyone for my performance tonight. This is the last youll be seeing of me.'.
