Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jermain Leaseau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruise Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee has chosen Mortal Kombat Theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jermain Leaseau has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jermain Leaseau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruise Lee!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee misses with a head kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leaseau is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lee doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Leaseau.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lee manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Leaseau is taking a breather. Lee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Leaseau shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Leaseau gets slowly back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jermain Leaseau overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Leaseau stands up over Lee, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
We've been hearing good reports from Leaseau's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
