Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damon Lordi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mattew Magera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lordi comes to the cage accompanied by Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah. Damon Lordi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Lordi misses.
Lordi looks to land a combination but Magera avoids it well.
Lordi shoots in looking for a takedown. Magera tries to sprawl out of it but Lordi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Magera manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Magera looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Magera wants to control but Lordi postures up.

Lordi clinches up with Magera and pushes him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lordi gets underhooks to prevent Magera's takedown attempt.
Lordi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Magera's elbow.
Magera wants a takedown but no success here.
Lordi is looking to break free of the clinch but Magera has double underhooks.

Lordi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lordi manages to end up in side control.
Magera tries to bench press Lordi off him but Lordi keeps the position.
Magera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lordi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've been informed that Magera has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Lordi is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Magera avoids a punch combination nicely.
Magera blocks the body kick.
Lordi is looking to clinch but Magera is avoiding it.
Magera follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Damon Lordi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lordi misses with a takedown attempt - Magera sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

That was a close round but I would say that Damon Lordi will probably get the nod.
That's time! Lordi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Magera has Lordi pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Magera pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lordi tumbling to the mat - Magera dives into Lordi's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Damon Lordi.
