Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Huey Randolph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wayne Murphy!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randolph throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Randolph throws a lazy head kick

and Murphy counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Randolph keeping full guard, as Murphy tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murphy showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
It looks like Murphy might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Randolph wants to sweep here but Murphy controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Randolph throws a head kick that misses

and Murphy counters by clinching up.

Murphy jumps guard and drags Randolph to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Randolph throws a big elbow that misses.
Murphy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Murphy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Randolph is controlling him.

Murphy wants to stand up but Randolph is controlling him.
Randolph could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Randolph wants to get up but he can't break Murphy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Murphy is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Randolph loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Murphy leaves Randolph with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Murphy scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Randolph doesn't seem bothered though.

Murphy lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Randolph wants to stand but Murphy is controlling his posture from full guard.
Randolph wants to control from the top but Murphy keeps moving.
Murphy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Murphy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Randolph gets to his feet - Murphy follows without any prompting.
Randolph throws a sloppy head kick and Murphy moves out of range easily.

Murphy tries to bum rush Randolph with a series of wild strikes but Randolph uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Murphy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Randolph is fending him off so far but Murphy persists. Nope, Randolph circles away and we're back to standing.
Murphy blocks a head kick by Randolph.
Randolph displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Murphy.
Randolph drops down looking for a counter takedown but Murphy sprawls and moves away.
Nice uppercut lands for Murphy. That snapped Randolph's head back.
Horrible takedown attempt by Murphy or perhaps it was just good defense by Randolph, which made it look bad.
Huey Randolph has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wayne Murphy.

Murphy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Murphy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Randolph smiles and moves away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Murphy is continuing to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Wayne Murphy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Murphy let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
The fighters circle momentarily. Murphy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Randolph takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Murphy misses with the combination.
Murphy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Randolph has time to react.
Murphy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Randolph defends it nicely.

Randolph gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Murphy to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Murphy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Murphy looking to sit in guard and control but Randolph gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Randolph prevents Murphy from getting back to his feet.
Huey Randolph has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wayne Murphy is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Randolph throws a strike but Murphy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wayne Murphy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Murphy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
