The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keijjo tries to clinch but Brandao moves out of range.
Brandao is looking for the big counter here.
Keijjo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brandao sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Keijjo somewhat.
Brandao connects with a right hand. Keijjo shakes it off.
Brandao stuffs the takedown.
Keijjo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Keijjo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brandao makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Brandao scores with a hook to the body. Keijjo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Keijjo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kumi Keijjo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Keijjo is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brandao scores with a nice head shot.
Oooooh!!! Brandao has knocked Keijjo down with a huge combo! Brandao steps away and waves a wobbly Keijjo back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Keijjo tries to clinch there but Brandao circles away.

and Brandao counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Keijjo is rocked!
Brandao stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Oh Keijjo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Keijjo tries for a takedown but Brandao circles away easily
and Brandao scores with a counter punch that sends Keijjo to the canvas! Brandao smells blood - he's punishing Keijjo with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Keijjo has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diego Brandao!
