Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christian Mubango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor McLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mubango might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jessie J - Bang Bang. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mubango thows a leg kick but McLeod checks it
and McLeod counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Christian Mubango has been cut.
McLeod lands with a nice body punch.
Mubango throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mubango gets cracked there but stands up to it.
McLeod pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mubango appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
McLeod throws out a powerful jab.
McLeod walks into a straight right hand from Mubango.
A slow jab from Mubango misses its intended target.
McLeod swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Connor McLeod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McLeod closes the distance looking to clinch

and Mubango decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McLeod's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McLeod felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

McLeod prevents Mubango from moving into mount.
Mubango misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Mubango has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mubango has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, McLeod has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mubango shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McLeod but McLeod pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mubango sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McLeod's guard.
