The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mutch closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Jason wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Jason pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jason keeps the fight on the outside.
Mutch takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mutch tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jason counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jason tries a head kick but it misses.
Jason on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like Rony Jason has been cut.
Mutch takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mutch swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jason makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Jason blocks a head kick by Mutch.

Jason fires out a quick counter leg kick but Mutch just manages to avoid it.

Mutch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A nice inside leg kick there by Jason. That's going to slow Mutch down.
Jason throws out a powerful jab.

Mutch is rocked!
Mutch tries to close the distance and clinch but Jason swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jason fires out a quick counter leg kick but Mutch just manages to avoid it.
Mutch misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jason jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Jason stuffs the takedown attempt from Mutch. Mutch gets slowly back to his feet.
Mutch tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jason swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jason takes one on the button.
Mutch blocks a head kick by Jason.
Mutch fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Mutch lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Rony Jason is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jason turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Nice body kick there by Jason.

Mutch throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No luck for Mutch with that takedown attempt.
And Jason counters with a quick kick to the body but Mutch blocks it.
Rony Jason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Mutch.
Jason lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jason connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Jason wants to slow Mutch down by chopping away at his legs.
Jason explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Mutch misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jason throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jason dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mutch. That did some damage!
Jason feints and then cracks Mutch's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mutch down.
Mutch goes for a double leg but Jason avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Jason continues to drive forward.
Jason thows a body kick. Mutch tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Mutch looks winded!
Mutch tries to clinch but Jason is having none of it.
Mutch shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Jason looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jason connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Mutch throws a lazy uppercut
and Mutch takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mutch is still on wobbly legs! Can Jason finish him?
Mutch shoots in but no luck this time.
Mutch tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Jason paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mutch steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jason. That one must have hurt.
Jason scoring well with a low kick there.
Mutch seems to have recovered his senses.
That kick from Jason tenderised Mutch's leg. Mutch is trying to keep his angry face on.
Mutch's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A solid body kick from Jason.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Mutch tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Jason manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mutch swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Jason counters with a nice right hand that sends Mutch toppling to the canvas! Mutch scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Jason finish him?!
Mutch doesn't succeed with the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Jason is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mutch can do to turn this around?
Mutch takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
and Jason counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Mutch! He's just covering up as Jason starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
