Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simon Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Paul Leblanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leblanc darts in looking for a takedown but Scott gets double underhooks and turns Leblanc into the cage.
Scott looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Leblanc dives in and scores a takedown into Scott's guard.
Leblanc stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Scott swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Scott keeping moving, preventing Leblanc from controlling successfully.
Leblanc might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Scott haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Leblanc passes Scott's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Leblanc looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Scott is defending against the submission attempts here by Leblanc.

Leblanc passes the guard and advances to mount!

Leblanc looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Leblanc trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Leblanc won't let Scott get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Scott looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Leblanc can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Scott is looking to escape.
Scott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leblanc on the ground.

Leblanc is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Leblanc extends the arm and Scott is forced to tap!
