Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zarek Reschke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eduardo Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez shoots in but no luck this time.
Reschke wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
We've been told by Reschke's head coaches at The Clinic that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Reschke misses with a body shot.

Alvarez fails with a takedown attempt.

Alvarez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Reschke.
Reschke throws a hook but Alvarez blocks it.
And Alvarez tries to counter it with a takedown but Reschke pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Reschke lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Reschke throws a low kick but Alvarez moves out of range easily.
Alvarez scores with the left hand. Reschke knows he should have avoided that one.
Reschke is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alvarez can do to turn this around?

Reschke lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Reschke slaps away a takedown attempt from Alvarez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
