The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Russo.
Gibson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gibson tries for a takedown but Russo circles away easily
and Gibson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Tobias Gibson has been cut.
Gibson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Russo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A nice side step and Russo releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

and Russo counters with a nice right hand that sends Gibson toppling to the canvas! Gibson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Russo finish him?!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tobias Gibson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
