Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nico Jermaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jermaine misses with the body kick
and Stevenson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Jermaine looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Jermaine stands up out of the half guard.

Jermaine moves into the clinch successfully.
Stevenson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jermaine smiles and moves away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Stevenson or perhaps it was just good defense by Jermaine, which made it look bad.
Nice takedown defense from Jermaine. No joy for Stevenson on that attempt.
Nico Jermaine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lou Stevenson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jermaine shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jermaine showed some decent athleticism there.
Stevenson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jermaine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stevenson is trying to stand back up but Jermaine is controlling him

Jermaine is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Jermaine passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Stevenson!
Jermaine fails to move to back control.
Jermaine throws some wild stikes that Stevenson manages to avoid easily.

Jermaine throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Jermaine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jermaine is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stevenson is surviving well by controlling Jermaine's body position as best he can.
Jermaine throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Stevenson because Jermaine loaded up on that one.
Jermaine manages to capitalize on a mistake by Stevenson to take his back!

Stevenson is trying to control the position but Jermaine manages to sink in the RNC - Stevenson is forced to tap!
