Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Leigh Ellison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan RedBull!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ellison has closed the distance and engaged RedBull in a clinch.

Ellison jumps guard and drags RedBull to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Ellison uses the cage to get back to his feet.

RedBull moves into the clinch.
RedBull prevents the takedown attempt.

RedBull breaks from the clinch.
Ryan RedBull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ellison smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

RedBull has taken the fight to the clinch.
RedBull misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ellison.

RedBull gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

RedBull looking to sit in guard and control but Ellison gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ellison lands a good elbow from the bottom.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ellison holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Ellison decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Ellison stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows RedBull to get to his feet.
RedBull tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

RedBull tries to break free but Ellison pushes him back against the cage.

RedBull wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ellison has him pressed against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, RedBull throws an elbow but misses.

That was a close round but I would say that Leigh Ellison will probably get the nod.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ellison is refusing to be controlled, as RedBull sits in half guard.
Leigh Ellison overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

RedBull ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. RedBull no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ellison scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
RedBull is breathing heavily.

Ellison stands up and waves to RedBull to follow him.
RedBull tries to land a front kick but Ellison steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Ellison has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes RedBull off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

As RedBull tries to get set, Ellison tries to push him back and clinch up but RedBull manages to avoid the attempt.
Ellison shoots in but no luck this time.

Ellison wants to sweep here but RedBull controlling him for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

RedBull is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ellison connects with a decent elbow.
RedBull tries to control but Ellison manages to take his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ellison has the hooks in. RedBull is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Ellison passes his arm under RedBull's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, RedBull taps!
