Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maurice McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manres comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Aqualung - Jethro Tull kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Maurice McDonald is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manres manages to avoid it.
Manres shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McDonald's guard.
Manres pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McDonald is keeping the position for now.
Manres throws a big right hand that misses.
McDonald controls Manres momentarily but Manres frees himself.
McDonald knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Manres on the ground.
Manres trying to control but McDonald is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manres controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Manres working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Manres throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McDonald works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

McDonald utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Manres uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McDonald.
Manres drops down looking to force a counter takedown but McDonald defends it well.
McDonald misses the shot to the body.
Manres is looking to score with low kicks.
Manres shoots in for a takedown but McDonald shows good takedown defense.
Manres changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McDonald tries to avoid it but Manres manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McDonald to the ground. McDonald escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McDonald pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Maurice McDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDonald throws a front kick aimed at Manres's knee but Manres avoids it well.
McDonald paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Manres tries for a takedown but McDonald sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Maurice McDonald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ludwig Manres.
McDonald missing with a left hand there. Manres was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McDonald lands a right hook to the body.

Manres throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McDonald's waist but McDonald gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manres off to one side.
McDonald throws a leg kick
so Manres counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McDonald accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McDonald has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Manres to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! McDonald is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Manres pulls down on the head and he's put McDonald to sleep! This one is all over!
