Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samart Payakaroon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Shephard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shephard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by You All Everybody. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payakaroon tries to land a front kick but Shephard steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Shephard throws out a counter right but Payakaroon avoids it with no problem.

It looks like Jack Shephard has been cut.
Payakaroon fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shephard.
No joy there for Shephard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Payakaroon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Shephard shoots in looking for a takedown. Payakaroon tries to sprawl out of it but Shephard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Payakaroon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Samart Payakaroon will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Payakaroon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shephard manages to avoid it.
Shephard takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Shephard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Payakaroon changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Payakaroon chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A solid leg kick lands there for Payakaroon.
Shephard takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Payakaroon throws a jab when Shephard was well out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shephard shoots in for a takedown but Payakaroon shows good takedown defense.
Payakaroon uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shephard has time to react.

Shephard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Shephard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Payakaroon pinned against the cage. Payakaroon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Payakaroon lands with a hook. Shephard tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Payakaroon will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Payakaroon looks up at the clock and then as Shephard takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Payakaroon smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Jack Shephard's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

A very excited looking Samart Payakaroon made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
