Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ville Ahokas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Biggie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Biggie has chosen Big Poppa by The Notorious B.I.G. as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robbie Biggie!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biggie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ahokas.
Biggie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ahokas swinging wildly here.
Biggie avoids the body shot from Ahokas.
Biggie is looking for the big counter here.
Nice sprawl there from Ahokas as Biggie shoots in.
No luck for Biggie with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ahokas scores with a decent looking hook.
Ahokas misses the shot to the body.

Biggie dives in for a single leg takedown but Ahokas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Ville Ahokas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robbie Biggie.
Ahokas scores with a jab.
Ahokas leaves Biggie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Biggie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ahokas seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Ahokas swings for the body but Biggie moves out of range.
Ahokas throws a series of punches but Biggie moves out of range.
Biggie misses with a shot to the body
and Ahokas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fighters circling - Ahokas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A nice side step and Biggie releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Biggie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ahokas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ahokas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ahokas pulls Biggie in to control the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Biggie working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Biggie won't allow Ahokas to sweep him here.
Ahokas keeping full guard, as Biggie tries to pass.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Biggie walks into a jab.
Ahokas lands with a nice body punch.
Biggie tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ahokas defends well and Biggie ends up having to push Ahokas into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Ahokas throws a combination. Biggie tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Ahokas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Biggie shoots in for a takedown but Ahokas shows good takedown defense.
Ahokas is looking to counter punch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Biggie wants to clinch
and Ahokas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ahokas stuffs the takedown attempt from Biggie. Biggie gets slowly back to his feet.
Biggie takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Biggie fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ahokas lands with a nice combination. Biggie backs away looking to recover.
Ahokas scores with a hook to the body. Biggie takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Ahokas is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Biggie shoots in for a double leg but Ahokas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ahokas is looking for a counter combo.
Biggie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Biggie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ahokas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Ahokas lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Biggie shoots for a takedown but Ahokas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ahokas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ahokas lands a body shot.
Biggie moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Biggie is still on wobbly legs! Can Ahokas finish him?
Ahokas throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Biggie's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Ahokas dives in looking to finish as Biggie flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Ahokas's strikes! Ahokas is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Biggie's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Biggie was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ville Ahokas!
