Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sanxho Falafel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Blake will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake fails with an attempt to clinch.
As Blake tries to get set, Falafel tries to push him back and clinch up but Blake manages to avoid the attempt.
Blake tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Falafel paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Blake looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Blake tries to clinch but Falafel moves out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Falafel.

Blake's coach down at River's Edge Gym, LOP was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Blake's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Falafel keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Blake looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Falafel tries to bum rush Blake with a series of wild strikes but Blake uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Blake! But no joy.
Blake is looking to clinch.
Blake chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Falafel can pounce on him.
Falafel throws a half hearted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blake tries to clinch but Falafel moves out of range.

Falafel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Falafel misses with a head kick.
Falafel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Blake tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Falafel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Blake is looking to clinch but Falafel is avoiding it.

Falafel pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Blake back to the cage. Falafel follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Blake fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Falafel, pushing him back against the cage.
Falafel is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Blake gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Blake swings wildly with an uppercut but Falafel uses good head movement to avoid it.

Blake lands a left hand that snaps the head of Falafel backwards.

Falafel is breathing heavily.
Blake throws a head punch that misses.
Blake lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Falafel backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Falafel's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Falafel looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Blake scores with a shoulder strike.
Blake lands a right hand.

Blake drops Falafel with a big right hand! Blake charges in looking to finish - Falafel manages to keep Blake in his guard and seems to have recovered somewhat.

Falafel is rocked!
Blake with a flurry of punches that miss.
Oh Falafel is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Blake trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Blake throws a big elbow that misses.
Blake throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Blake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Falafel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Blake postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Falafel covers up, he's hurt! Blake keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Blake and the ref steps in to end the fight! Blake can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
