Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elias Al Haddad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Barca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Barca or perhaps it was just good defense by Al Haddad, which made it look bad.
Al Haddad wants to clinch.
Al Haddad misses with a few strikes there.
Al Haddad takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Al Haddad throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Al Haddad lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Barca shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Al Haddad pinned against the cage. Al Haddad gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Barca shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Al Haddad as he jumps to the side.

Al Haddad throws a lazy right hand but Barca sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Barca throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Al Haddad was covering up waiting for the punch and Barca finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Barca postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Al Haddad is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Barca is controlling him.

Al Haddad tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Al Haddad is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Barca working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Al Haddad's head.
Barca trying to control the position from guard on top but Al Haddad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Barca drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Al Haddad manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Barca has Al Haddad in his guard.
Al Haddad is looking to work some ground and pound but Barca has wrist control.
Barca is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Al Haddad defends well.
Barca working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Al Haddad doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Al Haddad manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Al Haddad would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Barca is looking for a triangle but Al Haddad pushes his legs off easily.

Al Haddad got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barca has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Al Haddad has managed to get both his arms back between Barca's legs - danger averted.
Barca is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Al Haddad has his hands clasped together but Barca extends and breaks Al Haddad's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Barca.
