PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christoper Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Fujimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kenji Fujimoto was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blake gets a clinch.

Blake tries to buck Fujimoto off but Fujimoto is having none of it.
Fujimoto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blake keeps working.
Fujimoto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fujimoto is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Blake is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Blake misses with a head shot. Fujimoto uses the momentum to regain guard.

Fujimoto isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Blake stacks Fujimoto on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Blake!

Fujimoto is trying to get back to his feet but Blake has full control of the position and if anything, Fujimoto has just worked his way into a worse spot.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Fujimoto pushes Blake up against the cage in a clinch.

Fujimoto jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Blake walks away with a smile on his face. Fujimoto gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Fujimoto shoots in looking for a takedown. Blake tries to sprawl out of it but Fujimoto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blake manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Blake throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fujimoto was covering up waiting for the punch and Blake finishes the takedown easily into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Blake keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fujimoto's efforts to push away.

Fujimoto wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Blake has him pressed against the cage.

Christoper Blake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenji Fujimoto.

Blake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blake, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
