Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valentin Vang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsuji Takamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Valentin Vang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tsuji Takamura!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Takamura - just one landing.


It looks like Valentin Vang has been cut.
Takamura throws a nice looking combination but Vang bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Vang takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Takamura looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Takamura will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Takamura darts in looking for a takedown but Vang gets double underhooks and turns Takamura into the cage.
Valentin Vang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tsuji Takamura.
Takamura misses with a takedown attempt - Vang sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vang jumps guard but Takamura turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Takamura connects with a knee to the head.
Takamura jumps guard but Vang stands there with Takamura around his waist. Takamura gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Takamura tries to break the clinch but Vang is controlling the position.

Vang successfully pulls guard.

Vang has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Takamura has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Vang is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Vang looking to sit in guard and control but Takamura gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Takamura wants to pass the guard but Vang is keeping the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vang is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Takamura is controlling him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Takamura won't allow Vang to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Valentin Vang will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Takamura wants to clinch
and Vang counters with a three punch combo that has Takamura backing up. Takamura nods at Vang to acknowledge the strikes.
Takamura stalks Vang and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Vang's face. Vang staggers backwards, shaken.
A jab lands there for Takamura.


Vang is rocked!
Takamura shoots in looking for a takedown. Vang tries to sprawl out of it but Takamura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vang manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vang is looking to counter the offense by Takamura and move into the clinch.
Takamura delivers a nice body kick.

Takamura shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Takamura throws an elbow that misses. Vang uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Takamura's guard. Nice move by Vang!

Nice takedown defense from Vang. No joy for Takamura on that attempt.
Takamura is breathing heavily.
Takamura tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Takamura somewhat.
Vang tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Takamura manages to circle out of the way.

Vang goes for a takedown attempt but Takamura pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Takamura avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Takamura tries to clinch up but Vang circles away and keeps his distance.

Vang fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Takamura avoids it really well and circles away.
Takamura is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Vang stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vang wants it to stay on the feet.

Takamura tries to lock up and control but Vang gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Takamura tries to reverse the position but Vang maintains control.
Vang sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Vang is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Takamura can do to turn this around?
Takamura can't escape the position.

Vang has control of Takamura's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Takamura regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Vang can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Takamura is looking to escape.

and Vang counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vang.
Tsuji Takamura has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Valentin Vang is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vang, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
