PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kesuke Miyagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konstantin Ree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miyagi comes into the arena with Your'e The Best Around blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kesuke Miyagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Konstantin Ree!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ree changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miyagi tries to avoid it but Ree manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miyagi to the ground. Miyagi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ree fails with a takedown attempt.
Miyagi looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Kesuke Miyagi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Konstantin Ree.
Ree tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Miyagi swivels and escapes.
Miyagi looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Ree goes for a double leg but Miyagi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Miyagi continues to drive forward.
Miyagi stuffs the takedown.
Nice takedown defense from Miyagi. No joy for Ree on that attempt.
Ree has his takedown stuffed
and Miyagi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ree stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Miyagi.
Ree shoots and misses
and Miyagi counters with a slapping leg kick.
Miyagi scores with a head kick.
Ree with a poor takedown
and Miyagi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ree's knee momentarily.
Ree tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Miyagi defends well and Ree ends up having to push Miyagi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
As Ree backs away, Miyagi returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Ree throws a right and a left that both miss.
Miyagi appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ree misses with a takedown attempt
and Miyagi counters with a head kick that wobbles Ree - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Miyagi sends him down. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kesuke Miyagi!
A very excited looking Kesuke Miyagi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
