Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arstan Selmy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Rave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rave is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by What Happened?. Arstan Selmy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Arstan Selmy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Craig Rave!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Selmy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rave was well out of range. Poor timing from Selmy.
Rave with the counter takedown but Selmy avoids it easily.
Selmy jabs Rave to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Selmy motions for Rave to come forward. Selmy throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rave is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Rave looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rave closes the distance and clinches up with Selmy, looking for a takedown. Rave pushes Selmy against the cage but Selmy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Selmy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rave tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Rave avoids a punch combination nicely.
Selmy fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Selmy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rave can pounce on him.
Rave tries to move into range but Selmy moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A punch lands to the side of Selmy 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Rave paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rave buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Selmy connects with a high kick.

Selmy throws a front kick that sends Rave stumbling back into the cage.
Rave misses with a wild combination.

Rave looking to score a takedown here. Selmy is defending well but Rave drives through and ends up in Selmy's guard.
Selmy seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Selmy throws a body shot but no joy.
Rave with the counter takedown but Selmy avoids it easily.
Selmy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rave's waist but Rave gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Selmy off to one side.
Selmy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rave is fending him off so far but Selmy persists. Nope, Rave circles away and we're back to standing.

Selmy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A swing and a miss from Selmy.
Selmy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rave pinned against the cage. Rave gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Selmy goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Arstan Selmy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Selmy throws a right hand that Rave ducks under and follows up with a left that Rave also avoids with ease.
Rave takes a swing at Selmy's ribcage but misses.
It looked like Selmy was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Rave.

Rave closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Selmy's guard.
Selmy controls Rave momentarily but Rave frees himself.

Rave slips nicely into half guard.
Selmy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rave scores with a couple of nice shots.

Rave is trying to control the action in half guard but Selmy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Selmy is looking to improve his position.
Selmy wants to control but Rave is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Craig Rave showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Selmy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Rave is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rave avoids the head kick by Selmy.
Selmy tries to clinch up but Rave circles away and keeps his distance.

Rave keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rave lands a really nice looking cross but Selmy seems unphased.

Rave shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Selmy is trying to defend but Rave finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rave is looking for a kimura but Selmy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rave to get the leverage.
Rave throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Selmy is refusing to be controlled, as Rave sits in half guard.

Craig Rave comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rave has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
