And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Carroll.
Jones swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Carroll fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it.
Carroll slips a straight right by Jones.
Jones ducks under a wild hook from Carroll.
Carroll scores with a hook.
Jones misses the jab.
Carroll missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Carroll looks to land a left hand but Jones moved out of range nicely.
Carroll lands a lovely overhand right.
Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Carroll tried to counter with a leg kick but Jones avoided it.
Nice defenses there by Jones.
Jones clobbers Carroll with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Jones lands a nice hook to Carroll's body. Carroll takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Carroll looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.

Carroll takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Andy Carroll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carroll on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Oh Carroll is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

A lazy left from Jones finds it's target.
Jones circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Carroll to the canvas! Carroll doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Jones keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Jones!
