Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lionel Richie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rupert Psmith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Richie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Deftones - lhabia. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Psmith misses with a looping right.
Richie takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Richie - that will leave a mark!
Psmith looks to score with a jab to the body but Richie is just out of range.
Richie lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Richie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Richie lands with a kick to the temple. Psmith shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Richie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Richie feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Psmith takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Richie scores with a leg kick.
Psmith misses with an uppercut.
Richie moves away from the strike by Psmith.
Richie connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Richie looks for the body kick but Psmith saw that one coming.
Richie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Psmith. That did some damage!

Richie ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Richie throws a leg kick which misses Psmith's front leg but catches the back leg as Psmith tries to avoid it.

Richie clobbers Psmith with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Psmith misses with a hook. Richie ducked under it nicely.
Richie takes a swing at Psmith's ribcage but misses.

Psmith tries a head kick but it misses.
Richie wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Psmith throws a low kick but Richie avoids it.
Some bone on bone action there as Richie checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Richie thumps Psmith with a low kick.
Psmith moves out of range of the leg kick from Richie.

A nice inside leg kick there by Psmith. That's going to slow Richie down.
Richie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Psmith.
A solid leg kick lands there for Psmith.

Richie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Psmith turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Psmith swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Psmith thumps Richie with a low kick.
Richie throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Richie throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Psmith is rocked!

Psmith on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Psmith is still on wobbly legs! Can Richie finish him?
A thudding body kick lands there by Richie!
Richie sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Psmith's defenses. It connects perfectly with Psmith's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lionel Richie!
In his post fight interview, Lionel Richie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
