Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Altemio Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlo Froch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez's entrance music is I Wanna Fuck You In The Ass. A fine choice. Carlo Froch acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Altemio Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlo Froch!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Froch gets a takedown into half guard.
Sanchez wants to get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanchez wants to improve his position but Froch is controlling well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez pulls Froch in close to his closed guard and prevents Froch from doing any damage or advancing position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Froch wants to control his opponent's hands but Sanchez gets his hands free.
Sanchez is trying to stick to Froch's back but Froch is turning into Sanchez. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sanchez's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Froch.

Froch connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sanchez momentarily.

Sanchez closes the distance and clinches.
Sanchez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Froch.

Froch manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sanchez manages to get himself to full guard.

Froch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Froch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Froch cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Carlo Froch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

I think Froch has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
