Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shape Shifter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cain has chosen Five Finger Death Punch - Mama Said Knock You Out as his entrance music. Shape Shifter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Shifter.
Shifter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cain.
Shifter doesn't manage to clinch there - Cain circles away.
Cain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shifter circles away quickly and effectively.
Cain misses with a two punch combination.
Shifter tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Cain manages to circle out of the way.
Cain misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Shifter counters with an outside leg kick.

Cain has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nice takedown defense from Cain. No joy for Shifter on that attempt.
A little jabbing left from Cain on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Cain ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Cain throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cain fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Shifter is out of range.
As Cain backs away, Shifter returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shifter is looking to chop away at Cain's legs.
Cain swats away the attempt to clinch by Shifter.
No joy there for Cain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cain uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shifter has time to react.

Shifter is looking for a counter combo.
Cain throws a jab when Shifter was well out of range.
Shifter appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Cain looks to land a combination. Shifter sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Cain throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Shifter darts in and clinches Cain up against the cage.
Cain tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Shifter tightens his grip and picks Cain up, before dumping him to the ground. Cain manages to land in guard.

Shifter drops back looking for a leg! Cain is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cain manages to kick Shifter off! Shifter jumps back into Cain's guard.

Shifter passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shifter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cain has escaped the position, nice work there.

Shifter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cain knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Shifter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cain is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Cain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shifter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shifter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Shifter has hold of Cain's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cain seems comfortable defending it but Shifter has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cain is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cain is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Shifter couldn't care less - he's delighted!
