Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Nog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipovic has chosen Duran Duran - The wild boys as his entrance music. Mirko Filipovic will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mirko Filipovic!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nog dives in and grabs Filipovic's left leg, looking for a takedown. Filipovic pushes down on Nog's head and hops out.
Filipovic tries to counter by closing the distance.
Junior Nog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nog gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Filipovic counter with a right hand.

It looks like Junior Nog has been cut.
Filipovic pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Filipovic takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Nog shoots in looking for a takedown but Filipovic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nog's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Filipovic throws a fast counter high kick but Nog manages to duck under it in time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Nog. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Filipovic keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nog changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Filipovic tries to avoid it but Nog manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Filipovic to the ground. Filipovic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nog shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Filipovic cracks Nog with an open hand slap.

Filipovic tries a head kick but it misses.

Filipovic lands a big head kick that sends Nog tumbling to the mat! Filipovic takes a step backwards and waves Nog back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Nog feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Filipovic wants to sweep here but Nog controlling him for the moment.

Nog drops back looking for a leg! Filipovic is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Filipovic manages to kick Nog off! Nog jumps back into Filipovic's guard.
Nog working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Filipovic not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Filipovic keeping full guard, as Nog tries to pass.
Nog trying to control but Filipovic is working from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Nog drops back, looking for a kneebar! Filipovic looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Filipovic looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Filipovic!

Nog tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Filipovic wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Nog manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Filipovic is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Filipovic prevents Nog from improving his position.
Filipovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nog. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Nog is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Filipovic is tapping! Great win for Nog!
